Who runs this

Persephone's Chair is run by Ben Lathbury. If you have a question about your data, email ben@persephoneschair.com.

What your account holds

Passwords are handled by Google's Firebase sign-in service. Persephone's Chair never sees or stores your password. When you link Twitch, you sign in on Twitch's own page: Persephone's Chair never sees your Twitch password and keeps no Twitch sign-in key.

Signing in at login.persephoneschair.com sets one cookie, pc_session, for persephoneschair.com and its subdomains, so one sign-in works on every Persephone's Chair site. It is only used to sign you in and to show who is signed in at the top of each page, and lasts up to 14 days or until you sign out.

What it is used for

Where it is stored

Your data is stored with Google Firebase. Your access, your Twitch link, your credits name, your content and the logs are kept in Firebase's UK region (europe-west2). Your sign-in details (email address, how you sign in, and what Google shares on a Google sign-in) are held by Google's Firebase sign-in service, which Google runs across its own data centres rather than in one region.

Who it is shared with

Your data is never sold. It is shared only with the services that run the sites: Google Firebase, which also hosts the login page, and Vercel, which runs the sign-in service. If you link Twitch, Twitch tells us who you are when you link, and we ask Twitch for your current Twitch name and picture when you open your account page.

Players

You do not need a Persephone's Chair account to play games. You only need one to write questions for the stream games or to host games yourself. This page covers Persephone's Chair accounts only.

Your choices

You can change your username or delete your account yourself on your account page. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your account and its data by emailing ben@persephoneschair.com.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
