Support
Persephone's Chair makes free quiz games for streams and game nights. It runs on support from the people who host them.
Saw "Powered by Persephone's Chair" on a stream?
That host is using the free version of our games. Anyone with a Game Night account can host one too.
Hosting for free
- Host one game free for 7 days. When it ends, claim again straight away: the same game or a different one.
- Write questions in Q-Forge, always free.
Pay for a game
A game you have paid for has no "Powered by" tag, and you see no reminders to support while it runs. The free 7-day game always shows the tag. Prices are per game. Each payment is one-off through PayPal and nothing renews by itself.
You pay on your account page, so the games go to the right account. Tick the games you want (up to 10 in one payment), choose how long, and see the total before you pay.
Where your support goes
It pays for the game servers, the hosting costs and the time it takes to make and run the games, and generally supports the developer. Thank you!
Questions
Which games can I pay for?
Any game offered as a free game on your account. You choose them when you pay.
Do I need PayPal?
You pay through PayPal's checkout, with a PayPal account, or by card where PayPal offers it.
When does it start?
On the day you pay. If you pay again for a game you already have paid time on, the new time starts when the current time ends, so you lose no days.
Does it renew?
No. Each payment is one-off. When a game's paid time ends, you go back to the free version, and you can pay for it again any time.
Can I give a different amount?
Yes, message royal_flush on Discord and we will sort it out by hand.
What if my paid time ends in the middle of a show?
A game that is running carries on until the room closes. Nothing is ever cut off mid-show.
